Day 1: Best Friend,
Dear Beasty,
I consider you more than my best friend, you’re like my brother…*correction* You ARE my brother. You’ve always been there to push me in the right direction, or the direction you think I’ll be my best at. You’ve never doubted me, you’ve never given up on me. You’re constantly by my side, no matter how busy you are or what’s going on in your life. You always say you love me, and I never really thought about how much you really do. You put your life on pause to come visit me, to call me, to text me, and I’ve never felt so blessed to have a MAN like you in my life. We’ve grown closer over the years and we’ve both grown up so much. I am so proud of you and your accomplishments, you’re an independent man who would do anything for the people he loves, and I can’t tell you how much I respect you. You’re gone for fourteen days, training for Afghanistan, and I have no doubts that you’ll do great. Not only in your training, but IN Afghanistan, you’re a strong individual and I’ve learned to share you with your army brothers and sisters. They rely on you just as much as I do. I’m going to miss you when you go, no doubt, but you’ll always be on my mind and I’m sure I’ll always be on yours. I promise that I will write to you everyday, no matter if it’s something small…I want you to know that I have your back even in Afghanistan, and that I love you to death.
